From the collection of John M. Lawrence and curated by Thomas Myers, The Rise of the Cross explores the development of Christianity’s most recognizable symbol from the Byzantine Empire and beyond.
Each piece is accompanied by explanatory material designed to inform, challenge, and spark curiosity, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the history, artistry, cultures, and stories represented by these extraordinary objects.
